An uplifting send-off was held on February 19, 2025, for the CARAA (Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association) athletes at the EKB Multipurpose Building. The event, a simultaneous “Parubwat,” was presided over by Municipal Mayor Hon. Hector Reuel D. Pascua.
With a warm smile, Mayor Pascua offered his personal best wishes to each of the student athletes as they prepared to compete in the diverse range of events. His words resonated with the athletes, bolstering their confidence as they embarked on this challenging journey.
In addition to the athletes, the event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including former Provincial Administrator Atty. Edmar Pascua; Atty. Ajieh Du Sampaga; Dr. Ralph Verzon; Ms. Marizon P. Castillo, PhD, who delivered the closing remarks; Hon. Tessie Bulsao; Hon. Brojie Matulot; and the SK Federation Chairmen: Hon. Hanz Palacay, Hon. Aljon Du, and Hon. Lyndl John C. Lorenzo, and other key officials, teachers, and coaches.
Demonstrating the town’s unwavering commitment to its athletes, Mayor Pascua provided financial assistance for the student-athletes to ensure the team had every resource necessary for success.
The CARAA Meet 2025 is set to be hosted by the Province of Benguet from February 23- 28, 2025 with the theme: Fostering a United and Healthier Cordillera through Sports.
As they represent our town Pudtol and especially our beloved province Apayao, let our support and prayers follow our dear athletes as they compete in the CARAA Meet.
